315 districts in over 12 states at risk of low rainfall due to El Nino

Government has identified 315 districts to be at risk of rainfall shortage due to El Nino. Government has introduced a system of special monitoring to support farmers and ensure the safeguarding of the production of crops. A majority of these districts are located across following states—MP, Maharashtra, Gujarat, UP, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Bihar, Jharkhand, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.
