32 years since India won the World Championship of Cricket

India clinched the Benson and Hedges World Championship of Cricket at the Melbourne Cricket Ground after beating arch-rivals Pakistan in the final on March 10, 1985. Ravi Shastri was named the player of the series and presented an Audi car. India remained unbeaten in the tournament and beat Pakistan, England, Australia and new Zealand en route to final.
