32-yr-old man weighing 209 kg gets another lease of life at AIIMS, loses 49 kg

A 32-year-old weighing 209 kg and suffering from super-super obesity was given a new lease of life after AIIMS doctors conducted a successful bariatric surgery. After treatment, he lost 49 kg. The patient initially couldn't fit safely on a standard operating table. He was prepared for surgery for 32 days, and his abdominal girth reduced from 198 to 178 cm.
