32-year-old woman dies after being trapped in lift for 3 days in Uzbekistan

Olga Leontyeva, a 32-year-old postwoman from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, was found dead inside a lift after being trapped for three days with no one coming to rescue her. Leontyeva reportedly screamed for help from the top floor of the nine-storey building, but no one heard her. The cause of the incident was the malfunction of the Chinese-manufactured lift, an official said.
