33 Maoists surrender in Bastar on deadline day, gold & cash worth ₹14 crore recovered

Thirty three Maoists surrendered today in the Bastar division of Chhattisgarh. Twenty five Maoists surrendered in the Bijapur district of Bastar division, while five, two and one surrendered in Dantewada district, Kanker district and Narayanpur district respectively. Gold and cash worth over ₹14 crore were recovered. Home Ministry set March 31 as deadline for eradication of Left Wing Extremism.
