35 cases of violence reported during Durga Puja in Bangladesh

Bangladesh reported about 35 cases of violence during the Durga Puja celebrations across the country this month, police said. Seventeen persons have reportedly been arrested in connection with these untoward incidents. The development comes a day after it was discovered that a hand-crafted golden mukut (crown) gifted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was stolen from a Hindu temple in Bangladesh.
