37 kg of smuggled 24K gold bars worth ₹54 crore seized in Assam, one of the largest in Northeast

Assam's Guwahati Police have seized around 37 kg of suspected smuggled 24K gold bars worth over ₹54 crore following a raid at a hideout in Kharghuli. This is one of the largest such recoveries in the Northeast, police said. One man has been arrested. The accused, who was paid around ₹80,000/month, allegedly smuggled 20 kg of gold earlier, police added.
