37 killed inhaling toxic fumes in Nigeria pipeline theft

At least 37 people died after inhaling toxic fumes while allegedly siphoning petroleum from a pipeline at Okrika, Rivers State, Nigeria. The incident occurred around midnight Thursday at Okari Jetty. Environmental group YEAC-Nigeria reported several people missing, with bodies spotted floating in the river. Authorities have not confirmed the casualty figures.
