37-year-old Indian techie dies due to Valley fever in US

Chiranjeevi Kolla, an Indian software developer, has died in US after a month-long battle with Valley fever. The 37-year-old first fell ill in April and remained hospitalised for 30 days before succumbing to the infection. Valley fever, a fungal infection that affects the lungs, is caused by Coccidioides, which is found in California's soil and can spread through airborne spores.
