38 Chinese aircraft enter Taiwan air defence zone, largest incursion yet

Taiwan Defence Ministry said 38 Chinese military planes entered its air defence identification zone on Friday, the largest reported incursion yet. The planes, including nuclear-capable bombers, entered the airspace in two waves, it added. Twenty-five aircraft entered in the first wave of incursion and 13 in second, it said. Taiwan responded by scrambling its jets and deploying missile systems.
