38 dead, over 100 missing as boat capsizes in Congo's Busira River

A ferry carrying Christmas travellers capsized on the River Busira in Congo late Friday, leaving 38 dead and over 100 missing. The overloaded boat was part of a convoy travelling through northeast Congo. Ingende's mayor, Joseph Kangolingoli, said most passengers were merchants heading home for the holidays. Rescue efforts have saved 20 people with searches underway.
