38 held from fake Gurugram call centre for extortion on pretext of loan recovery

Police busted a fake call centre in Gurugram's Sector 20 and arrested 38 people. The accused used to allegedly extort money from loan borrowers by threatening to send their morphed photos and videos to friends and relatives on pretext of recovering the loan amount. Police claimed the accused extorted nearly ₹2 crore till date. They called around 700 people regularly.
