38% of total smartphone sales in India in Q1 online: Report

Around 38% of smartphones in the first quarter of 2018 were sold online, according to a report by Counterpoint Research. Flipkart dominated the smartphone market with 54% share while Amazon stood at second place with 30% followed by Mi.com with 14%. Further, while the smartphone shipments in the offline segment declined by 3%, the online segment grew by 4% year-on-year.
