39 million people could die due to superbugs before 2050: Study

Over 39 million people could die due to drug-resistant superbugs before 2050, a study conducted by Global Research on Antimicrobial Resistance (GRAM) Project said. Superbugs, which are strains of bacteria or pathogens that have become resistant to antibiotics, have been recognised as rising threat to global health. The study comes ahead of UN's high-level meeting on antimicrobial resistance.
