A huge pit in Canada was confirmed to be a 390-million-year-old crater made by an asteroid or comet after researchers found zircon mineral samples, which is formed during meteor impacts. Scientists found traces of shock waves in the rocks. The crater in Quebec was found by an amateur astronomer in 2024 while browsing Google Maps to plan a camping trip.
