4°C difference in storage temp triggers ₹2 lakh fine as it helps fungus grow in butter

A Hyderabad consumer forum imposed a ₹2-lakh fine on a retailer and Akshaya Kalpa Organic Cooking Butter manufacturer after fungus was found inside a ₹230 butter packet. The complainant said the retailer's staff threatened her when she tried to return the contaminated butter. The manufacturer blamed the retailer's storage conditions, saying the temperature was 3-4°C higher than recommended level.
