4 cops who assaulted man during lockdown identified: ACP to Bombay HC

Mumbai's Bandra division Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) informed Bombay High Court about four personnel, who allegedly assaulted Raju Velu Devendra, a labourer, on March 29, amid lockdown. Government lawyer Purnima Kantharia informed the bench that as per CCTV footage, the policemen were seen using fibre lathis to discipline the deceased. Police earlier claimed Raju was lynched by a mob.
