4 lives saved via organ donation after Pune marathon runner dies in accident

In Maharashtra, the family of 37-year-old Pune-based marathon runner Uday Birmal, who died after being hit by an autorickshaw during a training run, donated his organs to save lives of four individuals. Birmal's heart, liver and kidneys were transplanted to critically ill patients in Pune and Mumbai via a green corridor. Hospital officials praised his family for the selfless decision.
