4 people on US speedboat shot dead in Cuban waters

Four people aboard a US-registered speedboat were shot dead by Cuban border guards after entering Cuban waters, authorities said. The Cuban interior ministry, in a statement, claimed that passengers opened fire on a coast guard vessel that approached them. Six additional passengers were wounded in the incident. US authorities said the nationalities of those on board is unclear.
