4 people returning from Jagannath Temple rescued from floods in Odisha

Four pilgrims returning from Jagannath Temple were rescued after their car was stuck in floodwaters in Odisha's Cuttack district on Monday night. Notably, incessant rainfall for past few days led to flooding in Mahanadi river with water entering low-lying areas in Jajpur and Dasarathpur blocks. Earlier, eight gates of Hirakud dam were closed to prevent any large-scale flooding downstream.
