4 Pune dams now have enough water to meet city's yearly requirement
The collective water stock in four dams that supply drinking water to Pune has increased to 16 TMC amid rains, which is equivalent to the city's yearly requirement. The dams of Panshet, Varasgaon, Temghar and Khadakwasla now hold over 50% water of their collective water storage capacity. Meanwhile, IMD has issued a yellow alert for Pune till July 18.
