Sattu, also known as roasted gram flour is prepared by roasting chickpea, millet, barley, almonds or Bengal gram to name a few. Four varieties of Sattu are commonly consumed in states such as Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bengal and Odisha; barley, wheat, chickpea and mixed grains which are highly nutritious and used to prepare sharbat, chokha, paratha and much more.
