4-year-old falls into 220-ft-deep open borewell in Haryana; rescue underway

A four-year-old boy fell into an open borewell in Dhanaura village of Haryana's Ambala district on Tuesday. Officials said the child is believed to be trapped around 220 feet below the surface and that the borewell is about nine inches in diameter. "The incident took place around 6:30–7 am," officials said. Rescue teams have launched an operation to rescue him.
