40 people stranded as boat runs out of fuel in MP's Chambal river

A steam boat, operating without life jackets, ran out of fuel in the middle of the Chambal River near Madhya Pradesh’s Bhind district on Sunday, leaving around 40 people stranded. Local authorities managed to send diesel supplies for refuelling, Morena District Magistrate Lokesh Jangid said. He added that the boat returned to the riverbank and all passengers were safe.
