400-year-old pond 'Muzhiyan Kulam' restored in Puducherry

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman inaugurated the restored Muzhiyan Kulam, an over 400-year-old historic pond in Puducherry. The pond is believed to date back to the Pallava period and served as a source for drinking water and irrigation. The pond's restoration was started in April last year by a charitable trust and saw participation of residents from nearby areas.
