4,000 embryos destroyed in Gaza after Israeli strike in December
Over 4,000 embryos and 1,000 more specimens of sperms and unfertilised eggs stored at the Al Basma IVF centre, Gaza's largest fertility clinic, were destroyed in an Israeli strike in December. The embryos were the last hope for hundreds of Palestinian couples facing infertility. At least half of the couples won't have another chance to get pregnant, a gynaecologist said.
