4,01,000 foreigners made new permanent residents in Canada in 2021
Canadian Immigration Minister Sean Fraser on Thursday said Canada met its immigration target in 2021, after granting 4,01,000 foreigners permanent residency. Canada saw new permanent residents drop over 45% to 1,85,000 in 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “Last year, we set an ambitious goal. Today, we achieved it,” Fraser said.
