41-yr-old has over 4,000 gallstones removed in 45-min surgery

A 41-year-old man had over 4,000 gallstones removed at Fortis Escorts Hospital, Faridabad. Despite morbid obesity, diabetes, hypertension and acute kidney failure requiring dialysis, doctors successfully performed the laparoscopic surgery in just 45 minutes. The patient recovered well and was discharged a few days later, walking independently and free from pain.
