42 US aircraft lost or damaged in war against Iran, claims US Congress report

The US military's 42 aircraft were lost or heavily damaged during a 40-day aerial bombing against Iran, a US Congressional report has claimed. The impacted aircraft include F-35A stealth fighters, F-15E strike fighters, KC-135 Stratotanker refuelling aircraft, and A-10C jets. "Aircraft losses could generate unplanned costs for their replacement, repair, or sustainment," the report added.
