43% of Indian two-wheeler buyers consider switching to EVs: Report

Nearly 43% of Indian two-wheeler buyers are actively considering electric vehicles in 2026, up from 30% in 2024, according to BCG. Electric two-wheelers accounted for 9.9% of total sales between April and August 2026, while electric scooters reached 24.1% penetration. Lower running costs and improved perceptions are supporting demand, but battery longevity, servicing remain concerns.
