43 women rescued from egg donation racket in Hyderabad

Police in Hyderabad rescued 43 women from an alleged interstate egg donation racket, in which recruiters reportedly offered ₹20,000 to ₹50,000 per donation cycle. The women were allegedly brought from different states, housed in hostels and referred to fertility centres. Police have apprehended eight people and are probing possible medical violations, exploitation and trafficking.
