43-yr-old Indian woman unfurls tricolour on Europe's highest peak

Shivani Mehrotra, a 43-year-old Indian woman, scaled Europe's highest peak, Mount Elbrus, in Russia and unfurled the tricolour atop the mountain. Mehrotra climbed the mountain August 15 to celebrate the country's Independence Day. Her passion for mountaineering began in 2019 with a small trek, following which she has taken on demanding climbs, including Friendship Peak and Mount Kilimanjaro.
