Yahoo will be shutting down its 12 products considering them unfit for service, including AltaVista. The search engine AltaVista, which Yahoo purchased in 2003 for $140 million, is being shutdown on July-8. Other products are Yahoo! Axis, Yahoo! Browser Plus, Citizen Sports, Yahoo! WebPlayer, FoxyTunes, Yahoo! RSS Alerts, Yahoo! Neighbors-Beta, Yahoo! Stars-India, Yahoo! Downloads-Beta, Yahoo! Local API, Yahoo! Term Extraction-API.
