45-yr-old Founder of Shankar IAS Academy commits suicide

Shankar Devarajan, Founder and CEO of Shankar IAS Academy, allegedly committed suicide at his Chennai residence on Thursday. The 45-year-old hanged himself to death after a fight with his wife Vaishnavi, police said. Shankar had decided to open the institute in 2004 after he exhausted all his attempts to clear the civil services exams, said a teacher at the academy.
