47 students died of HIV, 828 tested +ve in Tripura: TSACS official

As many as 47 students have died from HIV in Tripura and 828 have tested positive, according to a senior official from the Tripura State AIDS Control Society (TSACS). The official added that students from 220 schools and 24 colleges are taking injectable drugs. "In most...cases, children [belonging] to affluent families...are detected positive," TSACS' Joint Director Subhrajit Bhattacharjee said.
