An earthquake of magnitude 4.8 on the Richter Scale struck near Ambikapur in Chhattisgarh at 5:28 am on Friday. The National Center for Seismology said that the earthquake occurred 65 km west-northwest of Ambikapur, reports said. The epicentre of the earthquake was at Latitude 23.33 and Longitude 82.58. It had a depth of 10 km below the ground.
