49,000 migrants illegally enter Spain from Morocco in 24 hours

Around 49,000 migrants illegally crossed into Spain's North African enclave of Ceuta from Morocco by land and sea in the last 24 hours, according to official estimates. Videos showed thousands of migrants swimming into the territory, with crossings continuing overnight. At least 18 people have died while attempting to reach Ceuta in the last few days, officials added.
