5,000 tourists stranded in Kullu rescued amid heavy snowfall

Kullu police rescued about 5,000 tourists stranded at Solang Nala ski resort on Friday after heavy snowfall hit Himachal Pradesh. About 1000 tourists and other vehicles were stuck in snow. Police said the rescued tourists were taken to safe places. The IMD has issued an orange alert for snowfall and cold waves in the state for December 27 and 28.
