5 Chinese planes enter Taiwan air defence zone; 9th intrusion in Jan

Five Chinese military planes entered Taiwan's air defence identification zone (ADIZ) on Tuesday, marking the ninth intrusion this month. In response, Taiwan sent aircraft, issued radio warnings, and deployed air defence missile systems to track the Chinese planes. Reportedly, 35 Chinese planes, including 23 fighter jets and 12 spotter planes, have been spotted in Taiwan's ADIZ so far in January.
