5 coaches of Rajdhani Express derail after collision with elephants in Assam, 8 elephants killed

At least eight elephants were killed and one calf was injured after a herd collided with the Sairang-New Delhi Rajdhani Express in Assam's Hojai on Saturday. Five coaches of the train derailed due to the collision, officials said. No passenger casualties or injuries have been reported so far, officials further said.
