5 Delhi-NCR cities to stop new CNG auto registrations from 2028

Delhi-NCR will stop registering new CNG autos, with Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, Faridabad and Sonipat enforcing the restriction from January 2028. In Delhi, the ban will begin earlier, from January 1, 2027, while other NCR districts will follow from January 2029. The move aims to curb air pollution and promote electric autos. However, existing CNG autos will continue to operate.
