5 diamonds weighing 1.22 carats found during exploration in Chhattisgarh

Five diamonds weighing a combined 1.22 carats were recovered from 200 tonnes of bulk sample material at the Baloda Belmundi Diamond Block in Chhattisgarh's Mahasamund district. Of the recovered diamonds, two have been classified as gem-quality stones. Experts say the discovery is a promising geological indicator, pointing towards the presence of more extensive diamond reserves in the area.
