Five farmers booked for stubble burning in Punjab's Fazilka

FIRs have been registered against five farmers for stubble burning in Fazilka in Punjab, where 52% of paddy crop has been harvested. Authorities have intensified efforts to curb farm fires, distributed 1,229 subsidised crop-residue management machines, and are holding awareness camps on the harmful effects of stubble burning on soil and air quality.
