5 IAF personnel lose lives after plane crash, co-pilot survives

Five Indian Air Force personnel made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty after an An-32 transport aircraft crashed in Jorhat in Assam, during a routine sortie. They are Sqn Ldr Prashant Singh, Flt Lt Shubham Kumar, Sgt Jitendra Sharma, Agniveervayu Khemaram Kumawat and Agniveervayu Danish Alam. The co-pilot survived and is currently undergoing treatment, IAF officials said.
