5 inmates use lungis, bedsheets to scale 20-ft wall & escape from Assam prison

Five undertrial prisoners escaped from Assam's Morigaon District Jail on Friday by using bedsheets, blankets and 'lungis' to scale the 20-ft wall. The jailbreak happened between 1:00 and 2:00 am and the prisoners were identified as Saifuddin, Jiarul Islam, Nur Islam, Mafidul, and Abdul Rashid. They were booked under the POCSO Act. The jailer was reportedly suspended.
