5 lakh diyas lit in Varanasi's Gadauli Dham to mark 'Tulsi Vivah'

Around 5 lakh earthen lamps (diyas) were lit in Varanasi's Gadauli Dham on Saturday to mark the festival of 'Tulsi Vivah'. A video showing several people lighting diyas and clicking selfies at the site has surfaced online. The ceremonial wedding of goddess Tulsi signifies the end of the monsoon season and the beginning of the wedding season in Hinduism.
