Two powerful and deadly earthquakes struck South American nation Venezuela, just 39 seconds apart, on Thursday, killing over 500 people. Soon after, a 5.6-magnitude earthquake hit California in US and a 6.9-magnitude quake struck off the coast of Japan. On Friday, a 6.5-magnitude earthquake struck Philippines.
