5 players make their ODI debut for India in the same match after 41 years

Third Sri Lanka-India ODI saw five Indian players making ODI debuts. Sanju Samson, Nitish Rana, Chetan Sakariya, Krishnappa Gowtham and Rahul Chahar received their maiden ODI caps. It's the first time since 1980 that India fielded five debutants in same ODI. Dilip Doshi, Kirti Azad, Roger Binny, Sandeep Patil, Tirumalai Srinivasan debuted in the same ODI against Australia in 1980.
