5 sweet shops shut in Hyd over food safety lapses, Karachi Bakery issued notice

Telangana Standards Authority for Food and Essential Drugs has shut five sweet shops and suspended licences of five others over multiple violations, including pest infestation, expired food products and unhygienic practices. During checks, it seized or discarded 3,546.5 kg of food articles worth ₹16.86 lakh. Show-cause notices were issued to seven establishments, including a Karachi Bakery outlet.
