5 workers' bodies recovered 44 days after Assam coal mine flooding
Bodies of five workers, missing for 44 days after an illegal coal mine flooded in Dima Hasao district, Assam, were found in a decomposed state on Wednesday. Their bodies will undergo DNA analysis for identification. The incident occurred on January 6, when nine workers were trapped in the 300-foot deep mine at Umrangso. Four bodies had been recovered earlier.
